Fresh off the back of her Silver Award for Apprentice of the Year at the National Building and Construction Awards 2024, today we're introducing you to our Trainee Assistant Site Manager, Daisy.
Let's find out more about her;
What attracted you to work at Foreman Homes?
When I first came to Foreman Homes for my work experience, I knew what their goals were as a company and it was very clear they take pride in their work everyday as well as pushing and supporting their employees.
What's your favourite thing about your job?
Seeing the end product knowing that everyone has worked hard to achieve these results. Another favourite thing about my job is that not every day is the same - different days comes with their own struggles however it's how we overcome the issues that is important to us.
Describe Foreman Homes in 3 words?
Supportive, rewarding, committed.
If you could swap jobs with anyone else in the business, who would it be and why?
Health and Safety because it would be interesting to see everything that goes on behind closed doors when a challenge occurs on site.
What's the best advice you've ever received?
Nothing will work unless you do.
What do you think is the most important skill you bring to your role?
Communication, it's vital to keeping a building site running smoothly, ensuring everyone is on the same page and the job gets done efficiently.
What's something you can't get through the day without?
Mayonnaise
What is your favourite feel good film?
The Holiday
If you had an unlimited budget, where's the first place you'd go on holiday?
If I had an unlimited budget, why stop at one place - I'd travel the world!
Finally, which Foreman Homes house would be first on your list to buy?
Even though it's not my site (!), I'd buy one of the houses on Berry Way. It's one of our smaller developments so there's a really nice sense of community and it's really easy to get to Southampton and Portsmouth from there.
