Meet The Team
Posted: Wednesday 23rd October 2024
Our team of skilled, experienced, professional and dedicated staff members are committed to delivering not just a house but a home to over 300 families a year.
Today we're introducing you to our Land Buyer, Harvey.
Let's find out more about him;
What attracted you to work at Foreman Homes?
I was impressed by Foreman Homes' efficiency and communication from my initial invitation to interview through to our follow up chats. I thought it was a good indication of how the firm deals with landowners and I can now say that I was right!
What's your favourite thing about your job?
I enjoy the challenge of seeking out opportunities and the satisfaction that comes with knowing these efforts help create new places that people will call home.
Describe Foreman Homes in 3 words?
Collaborative, Committed and Integrity-driven (That counts, right?)
If you could swap jobs with anyone else in the business, who would it be and why?
The architects. My other half and I run an art charity and it would be fascinating to experience the more creative side of property. Oh.. what was that? You want to come and check out one of our winter workshops? You should have said! Visit www.commongroundcollective.co.uk.
What's the best advice you've ever received?
As cliché as it sounds, that would have to be 'Always listen more than you speak" – A simple reminder that understanding other's perspectives in business can lead to better decisions and outcomes for both sides of the table.
What do you think is the most important skill you bring to your role?
My ability to analyse opportunities. It allows me to find areas that others might shy away from and make better decisions for both the company and our future home owners.
What's something you can't get through the day without?
Spotify. I live 50 minutes north of the office so a good playlist or podcast is an important part of starting or ending my working day.
Who is your dream dinner party guest?
Gordon Ramsay, I'll do the washing up.
What's one item on your bucket list you haven't checked off yet?
Swimming down the Aare River in Bern. I've heard some people use it to float home from work too?!
Finally, which Foreman Homes house would be first on your list to buy?
First on my list to buy would be one of the brick and flint properties at Roman Park, Whitchurch. I think the houses look great, and I love the idea of having so much open space around.
