The team at Foreman Homes are proud to announce that our chosen Charity Partner of 2024 is Abby's Heroes.

The aim of the charity is to help and support children and their families, including bereaved families, who come under the care of the Piam Brown and the Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) wards at Southampton General Hospital. They offer financial and practical help as well as the opportunity to make lasting memories for the children and their families.

Having a child diagnosed with cancer can turn families lives upside down. The child's life is completely taken over by the diagnosis and family's world is thrown into utter chaos and panic as they watch their child go through the rigours of treatment. The reality of the future these families face includes months or often years of treatment, often miles away from home and families are often separated for long periods of time as parents need to stay with their child in hospital. Siblings need to be looked after and jobs are put on hold. Inevitably, financial implications start to hit home which puts a massive strain on families as normal life ceases to exist.

Abby's Heroes work tirelessly throughout the year to support the children and their families with various funding options;

• £10 - A lunch and dinner for a parent
• £50 - For a child to go on a day out or theatre trip
• £100 - A monthly snack box for Piam Ward
• £112 - A welfare pack for families including hospital parking
• £200 - An End of Treatment Award
• £300 - Help with household bills to provide financial breathing space

At Foreman Homes, we are aiming to raise £5,000 over the year for this incredible charity and are excited to share our progress along the way with you.
